Giving
Giving is an opportunity to invest the money God has entrusted to us in eternity.
Giving is a wonderful opportunity to invest in eternity the money God has placed in our hands for a time. It is also a chance to loosen money's grip on our hearts — a clear declaration that God lacks nothing: He uses our money, yet in the end we will not need it.
Many Christians think of giving as picking a favorite charity and sending a tenth of their income. Scripture teaches something richer. A tenth may well be a good starting point, but Paul taught each believer to set something aside “in keeping with your income” (1 Corinthians 16:2) — in other words, to give as generously as we are able.
The one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor. (Galatians 6:6)
